Top Challenges
High ACoS
Camp Zero struggled in 2024 due to high Advertising Cost of Sales (ACoS), primarily driven by wasted advertising spend and unoptimized campaigns.
Disorganized Campaign Structure
The Amazon Advertising account had a variety of campaigns but they were not grouped into portfolios. The initial organization of the account made it difficult to identify which campaigns were driving sales and causing wasted ad spend. It also posed challenges in monitoring advertising budgets.

The Solution
Account Structure and Organization
All product parents were organized into a portfolio and a branded portfolio to focus on brand strategies. All campaigns were updated with consistent naming conventions and categorized based on campaign types and strategies to improve organization and monitoring.
Campaign Optimization
Each campaign was reviewed based on the client’s goals. Campaigns that resulted in wasted ad spend were reviewed and updated with negative search terms and products, adjusted bids, or paused altogether. Defensive advertising strategies were also launched to block competitors through Sponsored Display campaigns. These optimizations led to a decrease in advertising spend and a lower ACoS.
The Results
- 15% decrease in ACoS YoY for January 2024 vs January 2023
- 56% decrease in Advertising Spend YoY for January 2024 vs January 2023
